Michael resides in Bethlehem Township. He was a student at Germantown Academy and later attended Gettysburg College, acquiring his Bachelor's Degree in Business Management. As a student at Gettysburg College, Michael played varsity baseball and was an active member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon, where he held a position on the Philanthropy Committee and was involved in activities in the surrounding community. Currently, Michael is involved in sales and closing work for General Supply Company in Bethlehem, where he began as an estimator in November 2007. In his free time, he participates in intramural football, volleyball, and softball.
Michael has been a supporter of the Coco Foundation since its inception in 2010. He has served on The Coco Foundation Board of Directors for three years. Michael has been involved with Miles for Coco, Tee Time Time for Coco, MayDayz, Coco's Carwash, and has helped cook and serve dinners at the Ronald McDonald House in Philadelphia. Michael is very passionate about helping others and looks forward to the continued growth and development of The Coco Foundation.
Christopher resides in South Whitehall, PA with is fiance and soon to be Wife, Andrea. He was born and raised in the Lehigh Valley and has been involved in its athletic community for his entire life. He played baseball while growing up for several teams around the Lehigh Valley including the Blue Mountain League. He continued his academic and baseball career at Germantown Academy High School. Upon graduating, Christopher attended Bucknell University, where he majored in business management while playing NCAA baseball for all four years of school. Christopher works as Vice President of Business Development for General Supply Company in Bethlehem. He is active in the community, playing softball and attending several charity Golf Outings during the course of the spring, summer, and fall. Golf is one of his greatest passions and enjoys playing with his Brother Michael, and his closest friends. Christopher has been the organizer of the annual Tee Time For Coco Golf Tournament and looks forward to continued success.
The foundation was founded in honor of her daughter, Coco's, fight against cancer in 2010. Coco is alive and well, as she is now five years cancer free. Ali lives in Allentown, Pa with her family. She is currently enrolled at DeSales University studying nursing. Ali spends her free time with her kids, husband, and her dog Bella. The Coco Foundation was started on a promise to Coco, which was that Ali will do everything in her power to prevent children in the future from dealing with cancer, and that is what drives her in her work with The Coco Foundation.
Nicholas, who was born in Greece, came to the United States with his parents when he was nine years old. He lives in Bethlehem, PA, and received a bachelor's degree in secondary education in 1971 and a financial planning certificate from Moravian College in 1976. He has been a self-employed public accountant in Bethlehem since 1980. In his leisure time, Nicholas enjoys golfing; fishing; being physically active; and spending time with family, especially his granddaughter. He has a self-admitted sweet tooth for everything besides York Peppermint Patties, and he can't wait to join up with The Coco Foundation.
Born and raised in the Lehigh Valley, Ashley is now a resident of Morristown NJ. She graduated from Gettysburg College and is currently an experienced professional in the pharmaceutical advertising industry. As a person whose life has been personally affected by the diagnosis of loved ones with cancer, Ashley has a unique understanding of the significant impact that cancer has not only on patients, but also on the family, friends, and loved ones who support them. Ashley's first-hand experience working with community cancer support groups, has provided her with critical insights into the emotional, financial, social, and psychological challenges that patients and their loved ones must face on a daily basis.
Barbara Lazaridis is a life long resident of Bethlehem PA. She currently works in the Accounting and Insurance field at Meritt Insurance in Bethlehem and finds it very fulfilling. She graduated from Moravian College with Criminal Justice and Political Science Majors. She enjoys running, staying active, and spending time with her family, friends and her pup Jade. She holds a special place in her heart for children that battle this ugly disease and wants to help make a difference.
Doug was raised in Allentown and graduated from Central Catholic in 1999 and moved on to study at West Virginia University. He graduated in 2003 with a duel major in Business Administration and Communication Studies. Doug went into the banking field in 2005 and worked through the management training program and became branch supervisor. I am currently in the Loan Officer position. Over the years, He has been involved with the Allentown and Bethlehem Rotary Clubs and currently sit on the American Heart Association's event committee for their annual Ignite Gala. Doug has been active with The Coco Foundation "playing" in the golf outings, "running" in the annual 5K, and the many other events throughout the year. As a board member he will work to continue to grow and move the Coco Foundation forward.
A graduate of La Salle University in Philadelphia Erin holds a degree in elementary and special-education. After teaching for a number of years in FL, TX, and NC, Erin now raises four beautiful children of her own while simultaneously pursuing a life-long passion of health and wellness. As an independent representative for Juice Plus+, Erin coaches and educates families and her community on the benefits of whole food nutrition and healthy eating. Last year she launched a "One Simple Change" program to inspire and encourage others to maintain a healthy lifestyle.
Kelly lives in an old white farmhouse in Allentown, PA with her husband, Craig; her son, Sully; and her daughter, Dempsey. She grew up in Bethpage, NY and graduated from the University of Notre Dame in 2000 with a degree in English and in 2002 with a master's degree in education.
Kelly is a communications associate in Lehigh University's Office of Communications and Public Affairs, where she gets to write about the incredible things the students and faculty there do. Before becoming a full-time writer, Kelly was a teacher. She taught 2nd and 5th grades, mostly, with some littler and bigger kids in between. She's also an aspiring picture book writer and loves to use her imagination and sense of humor to write stories that make kids smile. In fact, she loves to do anything that makes kids smile, so her work with The Coco Foundation is one of her favorite things.
Kyle was raised in Allentown and attended Allentown Central Catholic High School before pursuing a Bachelor's Degree at Loyola University Maryland. Shortly after graduating, he took his talents to Chicago where he worked at an advertising agency for several years. It was during this time in Chicago that Kyle decided upon a career change. He spent the next two years teaching English as a second language abroad and returned to the Lehigh Valley in 2012. Shortly thereafter, Kyle began working in the nonprofit field and became the first Executive Director of The Coco Foundation. Currently, Kyle is the Commissioner and Executive Director of the Miracle League of the Lehigh Valley. In June of 2015, Kyle will have earned his Master's Degree in Non-Profit Management and Strategies from Baruch College in Manhattan, NY.
Matt is an associate at the law firm of King, Spry, Herman, Freund & Faul, LLC, in Bethlehem, PA. He has spent the majority of his life in the Lehigh Valley and actively participates in and attends many community events. Matt attended Allentown Central Catholic High School before pursuing a Bachelor's Degree from the University of Pittsburgh and Juris Doctor from the Widener University School of Law. Part of his law practice focuses on assisting organizations such as The Coco Foundation in meeting their goals and leading them in the right direction with respect to the legal aspects of running such organizations. Matt also sits on the boards of the Boys and Girls Club of Bethlehem and American Heart Association.
While growing up in the Lehigh Valley, Megan attended Germantown Academy and went on to Lynchburg College where she earned her Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education. Megan played field hockey in college and has had various coaching jobs since she graduated. Currently Megan is teaching third grade in North Penn School District. She just recently completed her Master's in Education with a Reading Specialist certification from LaSalle University. In her time away from work, Megan enjoys spending time with family and running. Megan has been very active with the foundation since its creation, such as organizing Coco Creates and helping out with all of the events.
Tina currently lives in Emmaus, PA with her husband Matt and 6 year old son Liam. She graduated from Emmaus HS. Since then has be involved in the construction industry and am currently employed at General Supply Company in Bethlehem PA in the estimating/detailing department. Tina enjoys spending time with her son and family; Camping, cooking & going to the shore as much as possible. She has enjoyed working with The Coco Foundation over the last several years especially working on the toy drive for the last three years. She loves that it is something that she can share with her whole family on the volunteer sorting nights! She looks forward to seeing the foundation grow and being along for the journey with her peers.
